The debut release from vinyl only label Discomaths is set for release later this month, and it is a stellar, eclectic four track EP from label heads Clip! and Kresy.
On the A side, Clip! kicks things off with “Everyday” which is pure house music. Killer kicks and hi hats with a smooth female vocal and classic piano riffs keep this one moving. Next up Clip! slows things down to super deep territory with “You Still Love Her” – this one has a bit of hip hop flavor and sure to work on the most mature of dance floors.
On the B side, one of our favorites, Kresy, contributes his two tracks. First up is “Do You Wanna Know?” which is Kresy at his finest, keeping the deep vibe that Clip! closed out with, but managing to add acid lines riding throughout the vintage beats. Last up is “Brooklyn 70’s” – who can you not love that title? With it’s warm pads and funky beats, this encapsulates the vibe of old school Brooklyn on the stoop with a cold one in your hand, scoping the ladies. Smooooooth.
